Webinars « Post-growth for Business » – In-depth look at the study

In February 2021, Prophil launched a series of 3 webinars, each one offering an in-depth look at one of the study’s three parts: business models, governance and accounting. The webinars provide an opportunity for us to answer the multiple questions we received following the publication of the study. In the first webinar, we invited Christophe Sempels (cofounder and director of Lumia action lab) and Laëtitia Van de Walle (founder of Lamazuna and The Green Emporium) to discuss the resetting of our business models in a post-growth era.

Publication and conference: “Post-Growth for Business: Rethinking Accounting, Governance and Business Models”

On November 10, 2021, Prophil publishes its third international study created in partnership with HEC Paris’ Society & Organizations Institute, Audencia’s Integrated Multi-Capital Performance Research Centre and further education school Lumia, and with the support of the family office AFIR, the National Statutory Auditors Union (CNCC), the norsys company and SeaBird Impact Foundation. The study calls for companies to shift to a post-growth model by resetting their business model, their governance and their accounting systems, so as to embed our economy within planetary and social boundaries. Following the publication, Prophil organized a conference in the Collège des Bernardins in front of more than 100 on-site and 300 online participants. With the help of researchers and entrepreneurs who contributed, we clarified the main concepts broached in the study during three roundtables corresponding to the three pillars of change within a company: business model, governance and accounting.
